We had a GREAT WONDERFULL AWESOME trip and now are totally in love with Chicago. We had so much fun riding the train, taking a water taxi from the museum campus to Navy Pier and walking our butts off all over downtown and Michigan Ave.! We ended up getting into town late Friday nite so we had a full Saturday and Sunday morning to explore. We saw alot and can't wait to get back to see more!

King Tut Rocks!
Mark and I have been thinking that instead of going to a fancy dinner for our anniversary this year, we should go somewhere! So After hearing all this fuss about the King Tut exhibit at the Fields Museum in Chicago, we decided we need to go check it out!

mark has never been to Chicago and I was there once when i was like, eight, so i barely remember it. We're very excited because we really never go anywhere!
the plan is to drive as fast as we can towards chicago at 5am on sat. 10/14 and pack as much as we can into a 24 hour period. we've got tickets to the king tut exhibit, but besides that, we're open to suggestions!
and because we are on a budget, we have to stay by the airport, butapparently there's a train station a block away, so we'll get to ride the L downtown. awesome! :)

Que Lunes!
Hi Guys! Happy third week of August! This is Phoebe!
We finally got a cool-down here in KC thanks to a Mega Thunderstorm last night but I bet it won't last. :( Mark and I are really really really excited for fall to be here soon!
Here's the website of the week!
www.pandafix.com
We finally got around to painting this spring and I'm still questioning my choice of paint colors...but here are some pictures. (I'll get pictures of the rest when I clean that part of the house! LOL.)

Also, my friend Jenni who does lots of mosiac art, came over on Friday nite to show me how do to this: ( after Step One; cutting and gluing) (that's blue painter's tape stuck to a picture frame)
We cut and broke our own pieces from scrap glass scavenged from a stained glass artist. My piece was a very abstract "whale in the sea" sort of thing (try tipping your head to the right). hmmmm...maybe it will look better when it is finished. lol.
I think this is my new favorite thing EVER! It's kind of violent! very UN-knitting. :)
